Bakers Against Racism

Bakers Against Racism

In conjunction with Bakers Against Racism and in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, Daniel Saravia Cakes will be donating 25% of all sales captured between June 15-20th to The Transgender District, a San Francisco based non-profit and district founded by 3 black trans women in 2017 focusing on ending transgender homelessness, transgender economic empowerment through entrepreneurial and workforce development, and preserving San Francisco’s rich TLGB history.

On that note, are you aware that one of the first riots that initiated the movement towards LGBT rights originated in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district? Known as the beginning of transgender activism in the bay, Compton’s Cafeteria Riot in August of 1966 preceded the Stonewall Inn Riot by 3 years!

As part of this nation-wide bake sale, we are offering digital gift cards for those who prefer to save their cake for a future date but would like to take part in the event. Join us in building hope by participating in hopeful solutions. <3
